Back to School with Stride Rite Shoes

Disclosure: I was sent the “Sperry” shoes and “Made 2 Play” sneakers from Stride Rite to review. However, all opinions are 100% my own.

The back to school season is finally here. I remember when I was a kid, my favorite part of “back to school” was definitely the shopping. Now that I’m a mom, I love to shop for my son and if I can find styles that are affordable and trendy, that’s even better. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting the Stride Rite team and previewed some cool Fall styles. I was sent the “Made To Play” sneakers and “Sperry” boat shoes to review.

I’m sure you’re familiar with Stride Rite and it’s stellar reputation of providing THE most comfortable shoes that actually support your growing child and their development. My son, mini-fab has really wide and flat feet. Naturally, Stride Rite is definitely my go-to when I’m on the hunt for new shoes. I love that the brand has a large variety of shoes from play to casual and also includes sizes from baby through kids ages 5 and up!

The “Made 2 Play” sneakers provide just the right amount of comfort and style. Initially I was attracted to this sneaker because of its vibrant colors. However, once I felt the shoes, it was incredibly cushioned, durable and supportive. As a plus–it has a great arch!

Since the sneakers have a velcro strap, it’s easy for toddlers (and parents) to slip on their sneakers in a matter of seconds. I can’t tell how frustrating it can be to try to get out of the house when you have to find shoe laces that have been taken out of shoes or knots that come loose in the laces because your toddler got bored. Well all of that is eliminated with these sneakers.

If you’re looking for a more casual shoe, the “Sperry” comes in a variety of colors like blue, black, white, brown and tan and can easily be dressed up or down. I loved the stitched details on these shoes and it has a sturdy traction on the bottom.

Mini-fab will be attending pre-school in the next few weeks and I’m so happy that the “Sperry” will be his “first day of school” shoes! PS–I know I will be sobbing like a baby when he first enters his new
