Disclaimer: I received these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.
As an Influenster member, I get to receive free product samples and test them out–again– for free. I was sent the Covergirl Queen Collection liquid natural hue foundation, the Stay Luscious lipstick and False Lash Drama mascara. Can I just say that I absolutely fell in love with the “Queen” packaging! I mean look at that gold lipstick tube and “Queen” branded mascara. I even loved the box all of the samples came in. Now on to my review.
I received the Queen Collection Stay Luscious Lipstick in Jubilee. It’s a fiery, dark, red that will be flattering on most, if not all skin tones. The lipstick applies smoothly and delivers an intense color payoff. It also smelled like cherries. This is a lipstick that you will not have to worry about applying multiple layers to achieve its packaged color.
The Covergirl Queen Collection False Lash Drama mascara is a god-send if you have pitiful eyelashes like I do. I prefer my eyelashes to be voluminous, not necessarily long. Well this mascara did both. Look at those lashes! I generally only apply mascara to my top lashes. I also only applied the mascara once to my lashes. it would probably look fuller if I kept applying the mascara.
When it comes to foundation, I’m extremely selective about what I put on my skin. As someone with oily and acne prone skin I always use oil free foundations or concealers. I also prefer liquid or creamier foundations as opposed to the pressed products.
The natural hue foundation is lightweight but it will only give you sheer to light coverage. If you’re looking for full coverage, this foundation isn’t it. Like its name implies, the natural hue foundation is more of a tinted moisturizer. It can definitely even out your skin tone, but if you have some darker imperfections on your face, you definitely need more coverage than this. Below, I’m wearing the natural hue foundation in “soft copper.”
