Falling For Olive

The cool fall temperatures have finally arrived in NYC and I’m not too happy about it. I miss being able to throw on a mini-dress, cute shorts and tanks. Of course you can layer your summer clothing with bits of fall transitional pieces like booties, cardigans, statement leggings and scarves. I plan on holding to my summer clothing as long as possible. But to keep warm, I’m investing in some key outfits in deeper colors like olive, plum and wine.

Olive hasn’t always been a go to color for me. I used to think it was such a drab and boring color. But once I started mixing different textures and styles of olive, it’s become one of my favorite shades to wear.

Like most places on the east coast, NYC fall mornings are a bit chilly but it starts to warm up in the afternoon. This tweed and leather olive blazer was a perfect addition to my mini-skirt and Justfab booties.

Accessories are the last element to take any look up a notch. I’m in love with the 90’s choker and slip dress trend (not pictured). I added my black, wool, fedora add to scream “Fall is here.”

What’s your favorite fall hue?
