Check Out Our TTPM Holiday Experience!

If you follow me on my social media (especially Snapchat) you already know that last week I had the time of my life playing all day with…TOYS! Yes–I was invited to the TTPM  Holiday Showcase 2016. #TTPM (Toys, Tots, Pets and More) is the premiere event for media outlets to play with and test out about the hottest toy releases for the upcoming holiday season. I was pleasantly surprised to see many of MY childhood toys revamped for kiddies today to explore. Of course, I was also introduced to new brands, shows and characters that will be coming to a toy store or t.v. screen near you.

Our first stop was the Gazillion Bubble Show exhibit. I mean–who doesn’t love bubbles?! As you can see, my lil one was a bit scared of being inside the giant bubble. But it was so cool seeing the different life size shapes made with the bubble wand.

As a bit of nostalgia, once I saw the Ninja Turtle booth, I had to find out what was new with my favorite childhood characters. Besides the Turtle Lair, Leonardo, Rafael, Donatello and Michelangelo also get to ride in a moving truck that “scoops” up the bad guys. Furthermore, each turtle has his own individual vehicles and weapons to help keep New York City safe.

Another childhood favorite of mine was the uber popular Pokemon character Pikachu (pictured below). How adorable is he?! For Pikachu fans, the ttpm fair featured the 10 inch, plush figure, lights up, makes sounds and its ears move. It’s definitely a great gift for toddlers.

Over at the Jakks Pacific booth, kids were elated to find Disney characters like Elsa from Frozen and the main character Moana from the upcoming self-titled movie Moana.

Sticking with the theme of classic characters at the ttpm holiday fair, were the interactive Mickey and Minnie Mouse dolls from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The Dance and Shout Mickey moves and dances to different songs, games and phrases. Who wouldn’t want to bust a move with Mickey?

Growing up in the 90’s was not just an exciting time for Saturday cartoons, after-school television specials and TGIF events–it was also a time for TROLLS! I was a MAJOR Troll collector back in the day. I’m talking shoebozes full of the multi-colored hair dolls. Unfortunately I threw all of them away when I became a teen. Needless to say, I can’t wait to see Dreamworks Trolls movie which opens on November 4th.

What’s a ttpm holiday toy fair without sweet treats and pop up characters?

Well, we were lucky enough to munch on Dylan’s Candybar goodies while also getting to customize a candy jar.

After stuffing out bellies, my son was on cloud 9 seeing his favorite tv characters come to life at the showcase. We spotted Peppa Pig, Miraculous Ladybug and Mim-Mim.

I had an incredible time at the ttpm holiday showcase and was so grateful to share that experience with my son. Thanks TTPM!
