Happy Halloween! Although I’m an adult (mostly..hehe), playing dress up for Halloween is my favorite thing to do. Generally I try to do a themed costume with my son–but I wanted to go with a costume that had a bit of glam and was versatile. If you can’t tell by my costume, I decided to become Little Glam Riding Hood, while my son was the Leonardo Ninja Turtle. While this day calls for candy, party and fun–it’s also a discussion for safety. Enter Verizon’s LG GizmoPal 2.
As a mom of a pre-schooler and a techie, I’m often looking for gadgets that are fun and functional. My son loves anything electronic, so showing him how to use the LG wearable tech watch was a breeze.
The Gizmopal 2 comes in the colors blue and pink and retails for $79.99. One thing I love about the product is the accurate GPS Tracking System. As a parent, it’s definitely comforting to be able to check your child’s location while using the Gizmopal App.
Other features of the Gizmopal 2:
- Two way voice calling
- GPS Locator with notifications
- Makes fun sounds
- Stores up to 4 contacts (these are the people your child can contact)
- mix and match the wristbands for the watch and also customize it with Gizmopal 2 stickers (not included)
- Compatible with android 4.0 or higher and ios 7 or higher
- Travel Adapter and USB cable
The GizmoPal 2 is super easy to set up. All you have to do is download the GizmoPal 2 App to your phone, enter the device’s phone number, enter your phone number and your desired contacts. The app lays out a user-friendly step by step process to get started.
While the device doesn’t feature texting, games or a camera, the wearable is great for what it was designed for–two way calling, accurate GPS location, fun sounds for interactivity and durable for children to wear.
I’m completely NOT at the stage where my son will get his own cell phone any time soon, but the GizmoPal 2 is a great way for us to stay connected.
