“Never let fear stop you from achieving your dreams.”
Those were the inspirational messages the audience received from the spectacular Sing movie. Although the movie opens nationwide on December 21st 2016, I was invited to an advanced screening courtesy of The Moms.
When I first saw the trailer for the Sing movie, I knew it was something my family HAD to see. After all, we sing all the time. Car rides are our theatre, the bathroom is our sound booth and everywhere outside is our stage. While we may not have the best voices, singing a song just feels good.
Sing movie features the voices of Scarlett Johansson, Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Leslie Jones and many more.
The animated movie revolves around koala, Buster Moon, who owns a struggling theatre. Moon has one last chance to save his theatre–by producing a local singing competition with a huge cash prize. The contestants include an ego-centric mouse, a shy elephant, a pig, a gorilla and a punk-rock porcupine. Each animal has a unique personal situation and different challenges that they most overcome to see their dreams come true.
Needless to say, I loved the Sing movie! With catchy pop tunes from artists like Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande, the Sing movie will have you dancing in your seat from beginning to end. As an adult, I think I had more fun in the theatre than most of the kids. It’s such a heartfelt movie with a great message of perseverance and following your dreams.
