Happy Thanksgiving! If you’re a foodie like myself, Thanksgiving might be one of your favorite holidays. I love being around family and friends, but having AMAZING food makes the day THAT much better. I have Southern roots, so I tend to look forward to buttery cornbread, biscuits, sweet potato pie, and so much more! Yum! Well a few weeks ago, the Verizon team invited me and a few other bloggers to #HudsonHolidays in Hoboken, NJ. It was a Thanksgiving like event hosted by Kings Food Markets . Of course holiday food means taking tons of pictures. If you’re looking to really make a statement like a Foodie Pro, look no further than the Verizon Droid Turbo.
So what does it take to get the perfect food photo? Here are some tips from Verizon:
1-Don’t immediately eat your food. I know you want to, but before digging in, snap a picture.
2-When taking your photo, be sure to turn off your flash. Some of the best photos–not only food photos, come out much better with natural lighting. That goes for videos as well.
3-Find your natural light. Go next to a window, go outdoors or get a special lamp that’s great for photos.
4-The dish, main course, or small dessert should be the center of the picture. Get rid of clutter or a distracting background since the food should be your focus.
5-Get creative and ask a friend to take a picture of you with your meal.
As I munched on my favorite desserts like sweet potato pie and chocolate mousse, I had the chance to play around with the Droid Turbo. My first impressions were how stunning the graphics were on the home screen, the amazing quality of the photos and how fast I was able to access my social media platforms.
