This past weekend I had a blast attending the 2015 New York Baby Show ! If you’re unfamiliar with the event, it’s a large expo that showcases the latest brands and innovations for families and those expecting babies or already have children. The two-day event also featured seminars about how to shop for a new baby, mom and dad lounges, a keynote panel about parenthood and live entertainment for adults and kids. Before I dive into my favorite parts of the expo, I also got the chance to visit the exclusive Blogger Lounge hosted by Momtrends!
I’ll be honest. Since I had my little one with me, I didn’t get to take full advantage of everything in the Blogger Lounge as my son was attached to my hip. But I did get to mix and mingle with a few blogger pals and enjoy the delicious lunch set up by Momtrends.
Now on to the show. There were over 100 brands and booths in attendance. While I didn’t get to meet every vendor, I did get the scoop on a few brands that caught my eye:
Lucy Darling is a company that offers over 50 unique stickers, memory books and nursery art prints to showcase your child’s most memorable moments.
Maxi Cosi, this chic European brand makes some of the plushest car seats and strollers in their league. I loved the colors and they also have a full travel system to make life hassle-free. I also love that their products grow with your child.
Okay, so if you follow me on IG (follow here) when I was pregnant and even before I was pregnant, I was obsessed with strollers. There are tons of stroller brands and prototypes to choose from on the market. I always liked the idea of having a stroller that was chic, colorful, lightweight and long lasting. I love the “new age” stroller that sits high, has a basket for your must-have items and a comfortable handle for your hands. The “Lemon Drop” Armadillo stroller pictured above fits that criteria as it converts to the different stages of your growing child and is also easy to maneuver.
Ah–one of the least exciting parts of pregnancy are those dreaded stretchmarks. I thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones and not get them. Well those squiggly dark lines showed up on my hips as I reached 37 weeks (full-term in pregnancy). Mother’s Special Blend is an all natural product that conditions and moisturizes your skin to prevent stretch marks.
Haba is a German toy manufacturing company that wants to bring the traditional days of “Family Game Night” back. The toys are made of wood and can be used by infants, toddlers and adults.
Canon was the presenting sponsor of the New York Baby Show. They had an amazing booth display where they gave demonstrations on how to take great photos. The booth also included a free photo-shoot area AND a play area for kids!
As a blogger, it’s important for me to stay on top of the latest trends and playing with Canon’s EOS Rebel T6i definitely taught me some new tricks.
The New York Baby Show was an incredible experience whether you’re expecting a baby or not. I learned about so many different brands and the best part was that the expo included children play stations so that families could learn while the kids had fun.
