When New York City is your playground, there’s no shortage of fun activities to get into, especially around the holidays. Here’s my end of the year wrap-up for my top 5 events. If you follow me on instagram, you already know I love to attend the latest pop-up shops and best of all they’re usually FREE! December 2017 was the best time for pop-up shops and events as most of them were generally holiday themed and attendees received prizes.
In the photo above, I had the chance to attend the Victoria’s Secret #PinkSnowedInn which was tons of fun! Guests received FREE hot chocolate, bath bombs, photo opportunities, PINK book bags and much more.
Of course, what’s December without visiting Santaland at Macy’s Herald Square?! My son and I had a great time and for the first time ever, we decided to visit “Brown Santa” at the magical North Pole. Fun fact, did you know Santaland had 8 different Santa ethnicities? Yes–once you go through Santaland and meet the elves, you can request a special Santa.
Another New York City holiday event is the Transit Museum Holiday train. The holiday train runs for a limited time from the end of November through the end of December. The vintage train takes riders “back in time” on the Second Avenue subway line each Sunday.
Take a look inside the restored trains below.
While I didn’t have a chance to see the greatest NYC Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center, we did make it to the holiday shops at Bryant Park, also only open for a limited time.
Our last event of 2017 was visiting Kellogg’s New York City for a tasty breakfast treat. If you LOVE cereal, Kellogg’s NYC is the perfect place to relax in a hammock and enjoy your favorite childhood cereals. Customers get to mix and match whatever cereals they like and add unlimited toppings to create your dream cereal bowl.
In 2018, my resolution is definitely to explore and create new memories in my city. I hope you continue to follow along on our journey. Happy New Year!
